I am running a game of "The End" over at Macray's Keep....
The game has started! If you're interested in joining, just email me. Or, you could lurk at Macray's Keep, and surprise me when I have openings....
I have started archiving the story. In the meantime, a few bits of Character Creation are here. If I ever develop any House Rules, this is where you'll find them.
My idiosyncracies
Bad grammar and poor spelling drive me ape-shit. None of us is perfect, and we'll make mistakes (and typos) once in a while. But if
- you rarely/never capitalize properly (words like england or sentence beginnings)
- u r 1 of those people who have 2 use "improper" abbreviations constantly
- YOU MUST TYPE IN ALL CAPS
- you don't set off vocalized words with quotation marks
- you don't know the difference between they're/their/there, too/two/to, your/you're, etc.
then don't bother trying to join this game. We'll just drive each other ape-shit and that's not fun for either of us.
The in-game penalty for repeated grammar & spelling violations is not pretty. Basically, a character the creators of The End forgot about will make an appearance: Azaz, The Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. Formerly the ruler of Dictionopolis, Azaz smites down those who split infinitives and end sentences with prepositions. I can't image what he'd do to some who violates my petty rules of posting.
Now, having said all that, I don't mind cultural differences. If you're American (like me) and leave the 'u' out of 'colour' that's fine with me. If you're from a Commonwealth country and insist on putting the 'u' in colour, carrying a torch, and riding a lift, that's fine with me, too. If you put a phrase in quotation marks at the end of sentence, I don't care if the final punctuation mark is inside or outside of the final quotation mark. If English is not your native language, that's not a problem. But I don't speak any other languages (at least not well), so you need to be able to understand my posts and I need to be able to understand your posts.
See you in the new Eden....
