Imagine Willard's surprise when a magical compulsion moved him to seek out the human Kisling--the very human from whose farm he had been stealing grain! Life as a wizard's familiar, as opposed to an average farm rat, is much better. Willard prefers this life over his former one; travelling the land and meeting other people is much more interesting. And Kisling will give him all the grain he wants!
